Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
The Kauffman Foundation has been a long-standing financial supporter of the Women’s Employment Network through our annual luncheon as well as the Women’s Business Center, in relation to our entrepreneurial services directed to women. OneKC for Women alliance supports Kansas City as “America’s Most Entrepreneurial City.” We actively participate in Global Entrepreneurship Week, One Million Cups and a variety of other programs in partnership with the Foundation.
As one of the top microlenders in the country, the Justine Petersen organization headquartered in St. Louis has become an on-site partner at the Women’s Employment Network office. In addition to our own clients, it serves the general public, including men and women in need of financing that is not available through traditional means. In 2012, Justine Petersen has executed 60 loans totaling $380,000 to businesses in our Kansas City region.
National Association of Women Business Owners
NAWBO is the only dues-based national organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs in all industries. The association currently has over 8,000 members in nearly 80 chapters nationwide, and is affiliated with Les Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales (World Association of Women Entrepreneurs) in 35 countries. NAWBO's strength comes from the diversity of its membership - all sizes from sole proprietorship to hundreds of employees, every industry from construction, importers, and retailers to service providers, and in all areas of the country.
The Women’s Foundation of Greater Kansas City
The Women’s Foundation advocates on behalf of women and children in our region. It conducts research providing OneKC for Women with data that confirms and enhances our dedication to financial success for women and their families, through our employment-prep programs and options for self-employment via entrepreneurship and business growth. With concentration on financial literacy and education, the goals of our OneKC for Women alliance is to provide all available options to help women define their own success.
Women Impacting Public Policy
The Voice for Women in Business in our Nation's Capital, Women Impacting Public Policy, Inc. (WIPP) is a national nonpartisan public policy organization that advocates for and on behalf of women and minorities in business in the legislative processes of our nation, creating economic opportunities and building bridges and alliances to other small business organizations. Through WIPP, our collective voice makes a powerful impact on Capitol Hill and with the Administration.
Women President’s Organization (WPO) Kansas City Chapter
Women Presidents’ Organization, Inc. (“WPO”) is a non-profit 501(c) (6) organization formed to improve business conditions for women entrepreneurs, and to promote the acceptance and advancement of women entrepreneurs in all industries. The WPO is the premier membership organization for women presidents & CEOs (and managing directors) of privately held, multi-million dollar companies. Through global, confidential and collaborative peer-learning groups, the WPO accelerates business growth, enhances competitiveness, and promotes economic security. It is the ultimate destination for successful women entrepreneurs.
