Starting a Business
Women are starting businesses at one and a half times the rate of the national average in today’s world. Self-employment through entrepreneurship is an option explored by many women in our community. Ideas for a new business should be well thought out, and through informed decision-making can be an incredible financial opportunity for you. The Women’s Business Center, a OneKC for Women alliance partner, has been providing classes for over 13 years to women in our community. Through our partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, we have been delivering the FastTrac NewVenture course to a women-only audience with both spring and fall classes.
FastTrac NewVenture courses are also available for micro-enterprise candidates who meet an income requirement in both Kansas and Missouri.
