This initiative, sparked by Johnson County, KS, government, focuses on resources to assist Johnson County Child care providers. Our goal is to provide small business consultation services and training to help strengthen existing providers, assist current providers wanting to expand their business and train those exploring their own entry into becoming licensed as a provider.
"Child Care: It’s Your Business" is a curriculum offered to all residents and Johnson County child care centers. This course is valued at $3,000, but all Johnson County candidates for the class will receive a full scholarship into the class at no charge. Curriculum also includes a parent handbook. One-on-one Consultation: free hourly consultation services with a small business counselor with expertise in the Child care industry is available. Consultation services may including business structures, financial education, accounting and recordkeeping installation and training, site visit and equipment assessment, licensing fees and more. Assessing your goals and challenges and providing additional resources to help you be successful.
Workshops: a wide variety of topics such as promoting your business through social media, understanding your financials, hiring and retaining, employees and many more will be available in a virtual format.
