October’s KC Job Fair brought together job seekers, employers, and community partners for an afternoon of opportunity and connection at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center.
More than 200 job seekers attended to explore openings with 43 employers representing industries across Kansas City from healthcare and hospitality to finance, manufacturing, and more. Volunteers conducted 40 resume reviews and offered valuable feedback to help attendees make a strong impression with hiring managers.
Empowering Job Seekers with Practical Support
The KC Job Fair offered more than just job listings. It was a space to build confidence, learn, and connect. Attendees had access to:
- Resume Review Services from volunteers with real-world hiring experience
- Application Help for online submissions and follow-up communication
- AI Job Search Guidance to navigate modern hiring tools and trend
- Information about WEN’s services, including job search support, career transition assistance, and financial education
For many participants, the event stood out from others in the region. Job seeker Erin shared, “I go to all the job fairs that are around, but this is the first one I’ve ever been to that actually had a lot of good companies that are there to serve people.”
