About the Women's Employment Network
Our Mission
To help women raise their self-esteem and achieve economic independence through sustained employment.
Our Vision
To advance positive change in the lives of women, their families and the community, one woman at a time.
Part of a Powerful Alliance
As a proud partner of the OneKC for Women alliance, Women’s Employment Network (WEN) is the door to a better life, a future of financial self-sufficiency and confidence. For women entering or re-entering the workforce, WEN is where to find foundational skills and support. Our clients and alumnae are empowered in many ways — professionally and personally, through a community of support. As women become self-sufficient, they are able to be an inspiration to others through sharing their stories, mentoring and, in some instances, starting businesses of their own.
A Financial Opportunity Center
WEN is a Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Financial Opportunity Center (FOC). As an FOC, WEN provides the bundled services of employment coaching, financial coaching, and income supports. Click here to learn more about Greater Kansas City LISC’s FOC program.
Women's Employment Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 43-1508734.
